A Late Arrival, A Celestial Gift: My Planet Parade Adventure

A Late Arrival, A Celestial Gift: My Planet Parade Adventure

February 28th, 2025. A date marked on my calendar for the much-anticipated Planet Parade. Life, as it often does, threw a little curveball, and I arrived a little later than I’d hoped. But as they say, “what you get is what you take,” and what I received was a truly magical, albeit slightly cloudy, experience.

Thankfully, my husband, G, who shares my passion for the cosmos, was just as excited as I was. He whisked me away for a night of impromptu stargazing. We ventured out, hoping to catch a glimpse of the planetary spectacle. However, the sky had other plans – a thick blanket of clouds had rolled in, obscuring much of the celestial show.

Disappointed? Not entirely. Because even through the haze, a single, brilliant point of light pierced the darkness. It was undeniably bright, far too luminous to be a typical star, and definitely not the moon. Was it a planet? A particularly radiant star? I’m still debating it in my head.

Armed with my trusty Olympus camera and my Samsung phone, I attempted to capture the ethereal scene. Now, I’ll admit, my photography skills are more “enthusiastic amateur” than “professional astrophotographer.” And, to add to the challenge, I was shooting handheld, no tripod in sight! So, expect a bit of cosmic dancing in the photos.

Despite the cloudy conditions, both my cameras managed to capture the single bright light, surrounded by a smattering of other stars that were barely visible to the naked eye. The clouds themselves were a spectacle, forming a magnificent fan-like pattern that stretched across the sky, adding a dramatic flair to the scene.

The experience was a reminder that even when things don’t go exactly as planned, there’s always something beautiful to discover. The single bright light, shining through the clouds, felt like a personal gift from the universe, shared with my best friend and husband.

Now, I turn to you, fellow stargazers!

If anyone has any insight into what that bright light might have been – a planet, a star, or something else entirely – please share your knowledge in the comments below! The photos were taken between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm on February 28th, 2025.

Even with the clouds and the late arrival, it was a night filled with wonder and a reminder of the vast, beautiful universe that surrounds us. And a special thanks again to my amazing husband, G, for making it possible!

Finding Your Celestial Wonder

Finding Your Celestial Wonder

Fellow readers, sometimes we don’t realize the value of something until it’s gone. That’s what happened to me when I was laid off. At first, it felt like early retirement – a dream! But after seven months of relaxing, something felt off. I was restless, driving everyone at home crazy with my newfound ‘laziness’ and obsession with cleaning. It turned out, I missed the purpose and connection that work brought to my life.

This experience taught me that setbacks can be opportunities for self-discovery. It’s about finding our ‘Celestial Wonder’ – that spark within us that guides us towards fulfillment.

Now, finding your ‘Celestial Wonder,’ whether in your career or in life, requires three things:

  • Hard work: There’s no substitute for putting in the effort. For me, it meant dusting off my resume and diving headfirst into a job market that had completely changed in six years.
  • Luck: We all need a bit of luck on our side. But we can create our own luck by being prepared and open to new opportunities.
  • Alignment: This is where things get interesting. Think of it like the planets aligning. It’s about the right opportunity appearing at the right time, when you’re ready for it.

This idea of alignment really hit home for me last year when I was at the Grand Canyon. Standing on the rim, taking in that breathtaking view, I felt a profound sense of connection to something much larger than myself. It was a moment of clarity, a reminder that we are all part of something incredible.

And speaking of incredible, 2025 has a rare celestial event in store for us: the Maha Kumbh. Every 144 years, the stars align – literally! The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter come together in Aries, drawing millions to the sacred rivers of India for a spiritual experience of renewal and cleansing.

But that’s not all. On February 28th, 2025, we’ll witness another amazing alignment – seven planets will line up in a rare formation that won’t happen again until 2492! I missed capturing the recent alignment, but I’m ready for this one. I’ll be there, camera in hand, to witness this cosmic wonder.

These events remind us that we are living in a unique moment, a moment filled with possibilities. Just like the pilgrims at the Maha Kumbh seeking spiritual alignment, we too can seek alignment in our own lives – with our goals, our values, and our dreams.

So, fellow readers, as you navigate life’s journey, remember:

  • Believe in yourself and your abilities.
  • Keep working towards your goals.
  • Stay open to new possibilities.
  • And trust that your own ‘Celestial Wonder’ is out there waiting for you.

Don’t give up. Your time will come. Let’s all find our alignment in this extraordinary year.
